Rear Admiral lia reynolds

Rear Adm. Lia M. Reynolds is a native of Honolulu, HI. Reynolds was commissioned through the Judge Advocate General's Corps Student Program in 1997 after graduating from the University of Hawaii. She earned a Master of Laws from Georgetown University Law Center in 2008.

At sea, Reynolds served as the deputy force/fleet judge advocate to Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and U.S. Fifth Fleet; fleet judge advocate to Commander, U.S. Third Fleet; staff judge advocate to Commander, Carrier Strike Group ELEVEN; and discipline officer aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).

Her other assignments include assistant Judge Advocate General of the Navy and assistant Judge Advocate General for Operations and Management, within the Office of the Judge Advocate General; senior military assistant to the General Counsel for the Department of Defense; senior detailer for the Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps; commanding officer, Region Legion Service Office, Hawaii; special assistant for legal and legislative matters to the Secretary of the Navy; commanding officer, Naval Legal Service Office, Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia, Naples, Italy; deputy executive assistant to the Judge Advocate General of the Navy; Trial Service Office Pacific, Detachment Yokosuka, Japan; Joint Interagency Task Force West; and Trial Service Office West, Detachment Lemoore.

Reynolds’ personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, and Joint Service Commendation Medal.
