SINGAPORE – Commander, Logistics Group Western Pacific (COMLOG WESTPAC) named Legalman (LN) 1st Class Rebecca Duclayan as its senior Sailor of the year during a ceremony Dec. 7.

As COMLOG WESTPAC staff legalman and N1 department leading petty officer, Duclayan provides legal and military justice assistance to active duty, civilians and their dependents. She also manages all aspects of administration and defense travel with a $4.8-million budget. In addition to her primary duties, Duclayan is also an active member in the community, volunteering for numerous events, including the Second Angel Christmas Tree donation drive and the Community Holiday Party. Individual selection criteria for the awards was based upon an exemplary performance of tasks, contributions that enhanced organization accomplishment of command objectives, mission, teamwork or public image, and one's professional attitude toward self and others.
